Volunteering with SKLL
South Kingstown Little League is run by volunteer, so we welcome and appreciate those willing donate their time. If you would like volunteer to help support our league there few simple steps you most follow. For all off our returning volunteers, this years process will be a bit different then in previous years. The process is now 100% online with new requirements to keep your child safe and personal data protected.
| 1. | Create sports connect account and register on SKLL website

| 2. | Completed the registration process for the desired volunteer role
(copy Government Issue ID required) |
| 3. | Completed volunteer application for background screening
(this will be emailed to you once have completed the registration process) |
| 4. | Completed mandatory abuse awareness training
(course provided by Little League International, more details below) |
| 5. | Once you have completed the required steps, the league Treasurer will notify you of approval
(please be patient, approvals can take several days) |
The first thing you need is an active user account registered with the league. This is the same account you use to register your player. So If you already have one please skip this step
1) Start by creating an account and registering on our league's website by clicking the "REGISTER" link in the upper right of the SKLL homepage. You will be required to enter some basic information to setup your login and account details
2) Next you will be asked to verify the email account you provided and start the registration process. Select the "Register Myself" option and then select "Volunteer or Team Staff".
3) No you will select the league (Softball / Baseball) and the roles you are interested
4) Please make certain that you select the role and sign-up for it as shown below.

5) Please complete the process and provide the requested information. This included uploading a copy of your Government issued ID and course completion certification for abuse awarenss training. Please make sure to answer all quedstions enteribng "N/A" in any field you leave blank as noted below.
6) Once you complete the registration process you will receive an email from South Kingstown American Little League <[email protected]>, with further instructions and a form for completing your background screening.

Mandatory Abuse Awareness Training
As part of the continued evolution of the Little League Child Protection Program and our new requirement for all volunteers to complete Abuse Awareness training on an annual basis, we wanted to provide an important update to those leagues that are requiring their volunteers to complete their training through Little League University
You will need log in or create an account through Little League University to take the course. Instructions can be found on the Little League University website once you log in.
