2026 Basketball Season - Important Dates

November 21 - basketball registration closes

January 5 - basketball practices will begin this week

January 10 - first basketball games

January 24 - picture day for grades K-2

January 31 - picture day for grades 3-8

2026 TEAM Basketball

TEAM Basketball program for Toledo area elementary school students.

Based off of number of players, TEAM will do it's best to place players from same school on the same team. If there are not enough registered players from a particular school, TEAM will place players on the next closest team to their school, if possible. Team names will be based off the highest number of kids registered from the same school on the team.

K and 1-2 will be Co-Ed, while 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8 will be split into boys and girls teams, only if numbers support the grade split.

Teams will be created approximately 48-hours after registration closes. Coaches will be assigned approximately 1 week after that. Coaches will then select practice days and times and communicate that information to their teams. TEAM does not have practice information at the time you register, it will only be determined after the teams are formed and coaches are selected.

TEAM is unable to accommodate ANY coach or player requests. The number of players who register for basketball simply prohibits us from being able to fulfil these requests.

All games will be held at the University of Toledo on Saturdays in January and February. Practices will be held at various TPS schools and will begin the week of January 5.
