Who we are:
TEAM is a Toledo-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, who strives to provide low-cost year-round athletics opportunities to any child. We were formed in 2018 by a Grove Patterson Academy parent, due to a lack of elementary athletics in the Toledo Public Schools. TEAM is made up almost entirely of volunteers.
Who we serve:
We provide basketball, baseball, and soccer for well over 1500 kids each year in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. We also partner with First Tee of Lake and the US Tennis Association, to connect our families to their programs. While TPS kids are our target audience, any kid in any school can play.
How you can help:
In order for TEAM to exist, we need both volunteers and donations to help keep facilities and equipment updated and safe and to help organize the league activities. We also need volunteer help to coach and mentor the players who register for TEAM sports.
TEAM believes in investing in Toledo's future by offering kids of all genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientation or identity, education or financial status, an affordable opportunity to play team sports.
TEAM has been fortunate enough to partner with great, local and national organizations like The City of Toledo, the world-famous Toledo Mud Hens, Major League Baseball and Dick's Sporting Goods, but we need additional help in order to continue to grow the number of kids who participate, as well as the different sports we'd like to offer.
