What is the Recreational Soccer Program?
The Recreational soccer program is an entry level program for any players in grades 3-8 that want to learn more about the game of soccer. The program's focus is on FUN, skill development and confidence building in a less competitive environment than the Travel Soccer program.
What are the key dates and times for the program?
Spring 2023 Recreational Soccer Program
Season : Starts week of April 17th and goes until early June.
Normal Registration: March 1st until April 15th
Late Registration ( with $40 late fee) After April 15th
Practices Tue/Thurs 5-6 for U9/U10 and 6-7 for U11/U12.
Games are on the weekend, 1 game per weekend.
League doesn't post the schedule until after Spring break. Friendlies are at coaches discretion.
Due to variability in enrollment we may combine ages/genders to form teams. We won't know the make up of these teams until we near the end of registration.

Where is the program run?
The Recreational Soccer Program is conducted at WIS and CMS soccer fields, weather permitting.
Uniforms
Players are required to purchase a uniform shirt from our partner, Soccer.com . You will be notified when they are available.
What gear do players need?
U9-U11 Players are required to bring a size 4 soccer ball. U12+ are required to bring a size 5 ball.
They will need to bring, cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle to each session. On colder days they may want to wear light gloves and base layers.
Who Coaches players in the Program?

Cromwell Chill uses all volunteer parent coaches for all teams within the club from 3rd grade - 8th grade for both Travel and Recreational soccer. Coaches are reimbursed their kids registration fee at the end of the season after they complete all of the necessary background checks, concussion protocol & soccer coaches training (online & paid by club), and return all issued equipment.
The Club provides curriculum and informational clinics on various coaching topics to all as well as mentoring to help coaches get started.
