Spring 2026 TOPSoccer

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based program for young athletes with physical/intellectual challenges, organized by Simsbury Soccer Club volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing the game of soccer to any girl or boy, ages 4 and up, no age limit. Our goal is to enable athletes with limited abilities to enjoy the fellowship, exercise and fun of playing soccer with their peers.

Simsbury's TOPSoccer program began in 2002, and we currently have an average of 25 players out on the field each week learning the game of soccer, making friends and competing against other players and their mentors. Players have a wide range of challenges, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.

Spring 2026 Farmington Valley League

The Simsbury Soccer Club recreational program emphasizes fun, fair play, skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop a life-long love of the game. Our mission is to enhance all participants’ enjoyment of their soccer experience while developing each child’s soccer skills and technique.

The Farmington Valley League (FVL) fills the space between playing and not playing as children move out of the younger recreational programs. The FVL leagues consist of Simsbury teams along with neighboring towns within the Farmington Valley area. Age divisions are divided into the following groupings: U10 (U9-10), U12 (U11-U12), U15 (U14-U15). The two-year groupings allow children time to develop their game onto the larger dimensions of the field as they progress through age divisions. The lower time commitment for FVL compared to travel programs allows for dual sport participation and other activities while still providing an opportunity to play soccer.

Spring 2026 Senior Travel

Simsbury Soccer Club's Senior Travel program provides an opportunity for high school aged players to enjoy soccer in the spring along with their scholastic sports and other activities. While the time commitment is less demanding than youth travel, it is intended for those players that are willing to make the effort to attend regularly. To qualify for senior soccer, players must be in good standing with the Simsbury Soccer Club and CJSA, in grades 9 through 12, live in Simsbury (non‐residents are considered on a case by case basis), have the desire to play, and the commitment to attend as many practices and games as possible.

The season will consist of one practice per week, league and friendly games on weekends, and Connecticut Cup play. The season begins in late April and runs into mid‐June. Players will be placed according to age, on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. The number and composition of teams will be based on the number of applications received.

Cost is $180 per player* Early Bird Fee is $150

*We expect each team to have volunteer coaches. If a paid coach is hired for your team, coaching fees (approximately $100/player) will be charged in addition. If a team decides to attend a tournament, any fees for the tournament will also be an additional cost to be paid by the team.

SSC will provide game t‐shirts and cover referee fees. Each player needs to provide shorts, socks, shin guards, cleats and a ball.
