The Simsbury Soccer Club recreational program emphasizes fun, fair play, skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop a life-long love of the game. Our mission is to enhance all participants’ enjoyment of their soccer experience while developing each child’s soccer skills and technique.

The Farmington Valley League (FVL) fills the space between playing and not playing as children move out of the younger recreational programs. The FVL leagues consist of Simsbury teams along with neighboring towns within the Farmington Valley area. Age divisions are divided into the following groupings; U10 (U9-10), U12 (U11-U12), U15 (U14-U15). The two-year groupings allow children time to develop their game onto the larger dimensions of the field as they progress through age divisions. The lower time commitment for FVL compared to travel programs allows for dual sport participation and other activities while still providing an opportunity to play soccer.
