Hello Simsbury Soccer Families:

I hope this note finds everyone in our soccer community well. Lots of important information in this e-mail, so please read this through in its entirety.

1. Return to Play: We are pleased to announce that the Town of Simsbury and the Farmington Valley Health District have approved an SSC Return to Play proposal as part of the State of Connecticut's Phase II reopening. Subject to the terms of our Return to Play guidance document (a copy of which is attached hereto and will soon be posted to the website),  SSC sponsored activities and camps will permitted on our fields on June 22. Team coaches should look for additional guidance from the Club on training protocols. We are excited about this first step and look forward to the players getting back in action. All players/families playing in SSC affiliated events must review and acknowledge receipt of the Guidelines. 

2. Refunds: Just about all of our Rec/FV families should have received their Spring refunds by this point and our travel families should be receiving them in very short order if they haven't already. For families that did not register using a traditional credit card, the process may be a bit slower, but those refunds are being finalized as well. Thank you for your patience.

3. Travel: For those players interested in playing travel in 2020/2021, please make sure you register your interest on the SSC website.  While registration does not guarantee a spot on a travel team, these registrations will help us determine our process for team formation.  We continue to work through multiple scenarios to form travel teams and appreciate your assistance. Please register your player.

4. Rec/FV: We hope to open registration for Fall Rec/FV very soon. As with travel, we are still finalizing our plans for our programs as we try to plan for  multiple potential scenarios. Please stay tuned for registration e-mails and additional information.  

5. Putting up the nets: Our plan is to put the goal nets up and prepare our fields next weekend in anticipation of the 22nd. While things will be a bit different this year (we won't ask a whole group to come all at once), it is still true that many hands make light work. If you have an interest in helping us get the fields ready for soccer, please reply to this e-mail to let me know. We always appreciate the volunteer community that helps SSC provide the best possible experience for our families.

6. Website: We hope everyone enjoys the look and feel of our new website. This should make navigation and use much easier for our membership.
