Dear Parents,

Due to the cancellation of spring soccer activities, the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and continued uncertainty around when and how sports activities will resume, Simsbury Soccer Club has not been able to conduct Fall 2020/ Spring 2021 Travel Soccer program tryouts as it typically does at  this time of year. Independently run tryouts have been a foundational component of the travel program to ensure that players are evaluated by qualified professionals and ultimately have the best playing experience by being placed on teams with players of similar abilities. The club is doing everything it can to plan and prepare for what will hopefully be a successful ‘20/’21 Soccer Season, whatever that may look like.

In lieu of registering for tryouts as has occurred in the past, SSC is asking parents to register "interest" in playing in the Fall 2020 travel program by June 19, 2020. There is no cost to do this. The information will be used to help determine the next steps in team formation.

IMPORTANT: If you do not register, your son or daughter will not be considered for Fall travel soccer, even if currently on a travel team.

ACTION REQUIRED: Register "interest" for your son or daughter to play travel soccer for the 2020 Fall Season on the Simsbury Soccer Club website.

Who should register?

• ALL players currently playing on Simsbury travel teams who hope to play in the Fall should register interest. 
• Prospective travel players for Fall 2020 not currently playing on a Simsbury travel team (including players new to the program or town) should register interest.  

Who should NOT register?

• Current travel team players who do NOT wish to play in the Fall should not register.

Please note that registering interest at this stage will NOT GUARANTEE a place on a travel team. More information will be forthcoming as we determine next steps to form travel teams. We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate these unprecedented times.
