NJYS Membership,

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the communication from our local, state and federal government about social distancing, NJ Youth Soccer is extending its suspension of all affiliated and sanctioned soccer activities statewide. Our primary focus continues to be the safety and welfare of our players, coaches, referees and communities. 

For our member organizations (towns, clubs and leagues), this suspension includes, but is not limited to, all in-person events (e.g. practices, training, scrimmages, clinics, tryouts, games and tournaments). A further update will be provided on or about May 17th. Click here to access ongoing and past updates on this subject.

As public officials shift the conversation to opening up our communities, we are actively working with US Youth Soccer to develop Return to Play guidelines. As part of this initiative, we will collaborate with our clubs and leagues to develop this comprehensive list before returning to play. These guidelines will incorporate compliance with safety measures that adhere to the CDC and federal and local governments. We encourage everyone to exercise extreme caution and continue to abide by public health experts' guidelines (e.g. hygiene, physical distancing, facemask use, etc). We will continue to keep our membership updated on the evolving COVID-19 situation. Again, a further advisory from NJ Youth Soccer can be expected on or about May 17th.
