- Ages for this division: 2014 and 2015 Birth Years.
- Roster amount: 6-7 with a maximum of 8 per team.
- Amount on field: 5V5 (USA Soccer criteria)
- Goalie: None. (USA Soccer criteria)
- Ball size: 3 (USA soccer criteria)
- Officials: Coaches will officiate their games at this level.
- Game time: Four (4) eight (8) minute quarters with one (1) minute break between quarters.
- Half time: 5 minutes.
- Field size: 60 feet wide and 90 feet long
- End lines: Must remain clear.
- All Play Rule: Each player will be afforded a minimum of 50% playing time during each game.
Uniform: All players must wear the following.
1. Jersey.
2. Shorts.
3. Cleats (rubber only.)
4. Shin guards with high socks covering them.
5. No jewelry may be worn.
Start of the Game:
1. The home team will kick-off. The home team will kick off at the start of the first and second quarters.
2. All players must be on their own half of the field before kickoff.
3. Opponents must be 4-yards from the center mark while kick-off is in progress.
a. Ball must be stationary on center mark.
b. The ball may move in any direction and must be played by another player before the original kicker may play again.
c. A goal cannot be scored directly from kick-off.
4. At half, teams change ends, and the visitor team kicks off.
5. You cannot score directly on yourself when kicking from a free kick. A corner kick will be awarded to the opposing team.
Substitutions:
- Teams may make unlimited substitutions but must make the other coaches aware before the substitution is made. A player may enter the field only from the center line and after the player being substituted has left the field. A player may leave the field at any point of the side or goal lines.
- Coaches may ask a player to sit out for a period due to consistent violation of rules (e.g., slide tackling, swearing, hitting, etc.)
Free Kicks:
- Indirect free kick dictates that a player from either team must play (touch) the ball before a goal may be scored.
- Direct free kick is when a player taking the kick may kick directly into the goal without another player touching the ball.
Corner Kicks: Kick taken in regular corner of field.
- Corner kicks must take place on the same side of the field that the ball left the playing field over the goal line which was last played by a defensive player.
- The ball must be placed inside the corner arc.
- Opponents must be 4-yards away from the ball at the start of play.
- The ball must travel one circumference to be in play.A goal may be scored directly from a corner kick.
Goal Kicks: A goal kick takes place when the whole ball leaves the playing field over a goal line which was last played by an attacking team member.
- May be taken by any defensive player from any point inside of the goal area arc or on the length of the goal line.
- The ball must first be stationary on the goal arc or the line.
- The ball must travel outside the goal area arc or, if kicked from the goal line, move at least one revolution.
- Opponents must be 10-yards away (behind the dashed line) from the goal line.
Penalty-Kick: No penalty-kicks at this age level. All restarts will be a direct or indirect kick.
Fouls and Misconduct: Direct Offenses
- Kicking or attempting to kick an opponent.
- Tripping or attempting to trip an opponent.
- Jumping at an opponent.
- Charging violently or dangerously.
- Charging from behind.
- Pushing an opponent.
- Punching, striking or attempting to strike an opponent.
- Holding opponent.
- Head balls. Head balls will not be permitted at this age level at any time. Coaches may not teach head balls to any athlete at this level.
Penalty: No penalty-kicks at this age level. All restarts will be a direct or indirect kick.
Indirect Offenses:
1. Dangerous play:
a. kicking high.
b. heading ball. (There will be no head ball allowed for this age.)
2. Charging fairly when ball is not within playing distance (1-2 yards.)
3. Intentionally obstructing opponent when not playing the ball:
a. waving arms.
b. shielding the ball.
