Coaches Needed

Applying as a coach is simple... fill out the application we have in office and return it to us with a copy of your driver's license. From there, we have you take a couple safety-minded classes dealing with concussions and child abuse.

The next step you can take is getting yourself trained in coaching kids. Many adults have played sports, but how many have actually coached kids, not just given tips to a teammate?? A good coach sees the potential in every child. Yet, less than 30% of youth coaches have been trained in the past year. It’s not easy finding time as a volunteer. Take time now to become a better coach at preventing and treating injuries, teaching age-appropriate skills, and communicating in the best way to youth. Even if you’ve been trained previously, online courses such as these provide a great refresher and the ability to learn more. Look for your sport on the TeamUSA website to check out what they have to offer for your specific sport(s)!

Just remember.....these kids are here to have fun and learn something about the sport while doing so! Developing skill at a younger age leads to a better well-rounded athlete in the future.
