In-person registration is less than two weeks away

Hello Oak Park AYSO families,

We're just two weeks out from our in-person registration event at OPRF High School. Our early bird pricing for Spring registration ends after the event on Feburary 3rd. Sign up now at www.ayso697.org for the best price for our Spring season!

See below for information on our season kick-off event, coach friend requests and youth referees.

Join us on February 3rd for our Spring Season Kick-Off Event!
We're planning a great event to provide new and returning volunteers an opportunity to get help with registration requirements and to showcase our wonderful Oak Park soccer community.

Door Prizes for Players
Registered players who attend our in-person event can sign up for our Spring raffle. We'll be giving away a Chicago Fire jersey, a Chicago Red Stars jersey, Chicago Fire soccer balls. We are also offering a chance to receive a free registration for our Fall 2018 season.

New Coach Shirts and Prizes for Volunteers
Coaches who sign up for the Spring season before or during our in-person event at OPRF can pick up one of our newly redesigned coaches shirts, and we'll be raffling off some special prizes for new and returning volunteers, including 4 seats to the Chicago Fire's home opener and 2 magnetic coaching boards.

Blue Sombrero and Volunteer Help
Oak Park AYSO will have our board members and volunteers on hand at our in-person event to help parents, players and volunteers with common Blue Sombrero issues including:

- adding a second parent or other family member to a family account
- registering as a VIP Buddy or Youth Referee
- signing up for training on AYSOU
- completing volunteer requirements for coaches.

Registration
Early Online registration runs through our in-person event on February 3rd, 2018. Discounted early registration fees are $107.50 for players returning from Fall 2017 and $125 for players who did not participate in the Fall season. After the in-person registration event, regular fees of $157.50 for returning players and $175 for new players will be in effect.

Friend Requests
We've had some inquiries about how to make friend requests. There are two ways to request that your player be placed on a team with another player.

1. As a Head Coach volunteer, you should see the First and Last Name fields just above the Code of Conduct on the registration form. If you've already registered and missed it the first time around, you can edit your existing registration.

2. As an Assistant Coach volunteer, you can request to coach with a Head Coach. The field is in the same spot, just above the Coaches Code of Conduct on the volunteer registration form.

Youth Referee Sign Up
We do not train or register new referees in Spring. We will offer training for a limited number of new referees later in the Summer. Check back on our Volunteer page after the Spring season for more information.
