Players who are five years old and younger typically play Tee Ball. Players who are 6-8 years old typically play Coach Pitch baseball. Players usually begin playing Player Pitch baseball at 9 years old. Clarkdale Little League also offers travel baseball for most age groups starting at 7 years old. Rosters openings on travel teams vary from year to year.
What makes Clarkdale Little League unique from other baseball organizations?
Clarkdale Little League is focused on player development. We are not a park that is overcrowded. During the fall and spring, our divisions typically field between two and four teams. Our teams are able to practice each week, even during the season. We utilize four fields, with each field conveniently accessed from the parking lot. We offer ample batting cage space for all teams. Our batting cages are full size, meaning teenagers can use them without worrying about their bats hitting the sides of the cages. We have many experienced coaches. We offer coach training through Little League to coaches who are less experienced.
What recreation seasons are offered at Clarkdale Little League?
Clarkdale Little League offers recreation seasons during the fall and spring. Practices for the fall recreation season begin in late August. Games are played in September and October. Practices for the spring recreation season begin in February. Games are played in March and April. Playoffs for the spring season are the first two weeks of May.

What equipment does a player need to play baseball at Clarkdale Little League?
Clarkdale Little League provides each player with a baseball jersey, baseball hat, and uniform socks and belt. Families are responsible for purchasing game pants and cleats. Players are expected to have their own bats, gloves, and batting helmets. Each team is provided with a set of catcher's gear. For players who are 12U and younger, baseball bats must be certified by
USA Baseball. For 14U and 16U players, USSSA baseball bats are acceptable. However, USSSA baseball bats must be drop 5 (-5).
How is travel baseball different at Clarkdale Little League?
The top priority of travel baseball at Clarkdale Little League is player development. We offer players the opportunity to play more baseball against increased competition. Travel baseball at Clarkdale Little League is affordable. All travel baseball coaches are volunteers. Teams choose the tournaments in which they would like to participate. Most teams choose local tournaments hosted by organizations such as Perfect Game, PBR, RBI, and Braves Country. Players who participate in travel baseball at Clarkdale Little League who are 12U and younger must participate in the spring recreation baseball season. Participation in the spring recreation season allows players to be eligible to be selected to an all-star team, whether it be for Braves Country or Little League.
What is all-star baseball?
Clarkdale Little League is a member of Little League and Braves Country. Starting in May, players selected to all-star teams begin playing in Little League and Braves Country all-star tournaments. Players selected to all-star teams must participate in at least eight games during the spring recreation season. All-star tournaments are highly competitive. For most tournaments, teams must come in first or second place to move on.
