1. Player Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for an All-Star team, players must meet the following criteria:

  • Residency: The athlete must live within the Othello Little League boundary.
  • Game Participation: The athlete’s regular season team must have at least 12 scheduled games, and the player must participate in a minimum of 8 games.
  • Age Divisions: Players are eligible for the following teams based on their Little League age:
    • 10’s Team: Ages 8–10 (Minors Division)
    • 11’s Team: Ages 10–11 (Majors Division)
    • 12’s Team: Ages 11–12 (Majors Division)

Note: Age divisions may overlap in accordance with official Little League Rules and Regulations. Players who are 10 years old may be eligible for selection to a Major Division All-Star team.

2. Player Evaluations (Season)

  • During the regular season, each athlete’s coach will conduct a player evaluation during team practice.
  • This evaluation includes all players on the team and helps identify those who may be considered for All-Stars.

3. All-Star Tryouts (Toward End of Season)

  • An All-Star tryout will be held for players who:
    • Are interested in being considered for an All-Star team.
    • Are willing and able to travel for District and State tournaments weeks, if selected.
    • Can cover additional All-Star costs, which may include:
      • Uniforms
      • Travel (hotels, transportation, food, etc.)
      • Families may choose to do fundraisers to cover costs.

4. All-Star Draft (Next Day After Tryouts)

  • The day after tryouts, a draft will be held for all Minors and Majors Baseball and Softball divisions. The tryout will be conducted by league coaches, All-Star Coaches, and Little League Board.
  • Players will be selected and placed onto their respective All-Star teams based on tryout performance, coach evaluations, and team needs.

5. Team Communication

  • If your child is selected for an All-Star team:
    • A new TeamReach code will be texted to the account holder on file.
    • Please ensure your Sports Connect account has a current phone number, approved email addresses, and that both bulk emails and bulk text messages are enabled to avoid any communication issues.
    • Be sure to retain the TeamReach app, as it will be the primary platform used by your child’s All-Star coach to share important updates throughout the season.
