2026 Summer Softball (Adult League)

Note:

League Overview:

A minimum of Six teams for Men's Divisions and Four Women's teams to start a league is required to begin the season. Teams from outside the City of Othello are also welcome to register.
DIVISION: Women's and Men's
REGISTRATION: April 10th - June 3rd 2026
SEASON: 06/08/2026 - 08/10/2026
GAMES: Mondays 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM

TEAM REGISTRATION FEE:

Once we reach the minimum requirement of teams for the season to proceed, a $350 team fee will be required to complete the registration process.
The team coach will be notified when this fee is due.

Eligibility:

All players must be 18 or older
One minor (age 16–17) per team is allowed with a signed parental or guardian waiver

Don’t miss out—register early and secure your spot. Let’s play ball.

Softball requires a minimum of 4 teams, and Baseball requires a minimum of 6 teams to proceed with the season.

Registration Guidelines

You must register prior to attending an activity. Fees must be paid in full at time of registration.

If conditions warrant, activities are subject to change by the Parks and Recreation Department.

Program minimums and volunteer minimums must be met, or the activity is subject to cancellation.

Our Refund Policy

Sometimes things do not go as planned. Othello Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or combine program activities.

If Parks & Recreation cancels a program, participants will be notified by phone or email provided on the registration. A full refund will automatically be issued. Refunds are issued from the City Finance Department within approximately 15 to 30 days of the notice.

Please Note:

NO REFUNDS will be issued for participant-initiated cancellations.

2026 Summer Recreation Program

Who's ready for some fun!? The registration for our Summer Recreation Program is now open! The program will run for three weeks. Participants will get to experience a different activity each week. Activities may include, chalk art, coloring, playground, basketball, volleyball, soccer, relay races, movies & more.

Dates of the program:

Week 1 (July 6-10)
Week 2 (July 13-17)
Week 3 (July 20-24)

Drop Off and Pick Up Location:

Participants can be dropped off at 8:45 AM – 9:00 AM and picked up from 11:45 AM -12:00 PM the Lions Park gazebo near the Tennis Courts on Pine Street.

Registration Guidelines :

All open balances must be satisfied before any participation in City sports.
Additional registration fees may be required for division transfers and must be paid in full prior to participation in the season.
Coach and Buddy Requests are NOT GUARANTEED, but we will try our best to accommodate your request.

2026 Summer NFL Flag Football

Join the excitement of NFL Flag Football — a fun, fast-paced, non-contact program for boys and girls in 1st–6th grade. NFL FLAG is the premier youth flag football league in the country and the only program where players wear official NFL gear.

Registration: 05/09/2026 - 07/09/2026

Season: August 11th, 2026 - September 3rd, 2026 (8 Total Games).

Game Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Game Times: Times to be determined by division and registration numbers, start times will be announced as soon as teams and divisions are divided and assigned randomly.

Division: Based on Grade level for 2026-2027 School Year. (If you experience issues registering for the correct division, please contact Parks and Rec. Department at 509-331-2770 or email [email protected] for assistance.)

1st and 2nd Grade
3rd and 4th Grade
5th and 6th Grade

Waitlist & Team Formation Policy:

Player registration depends on available roster spots and approved volunteer coaches. Team sizes and the number of teams in each division are based on how many approved coaches are assigned. Additional teams and spots may be added if more coaches become available.
Each division must have at least four (4) approved volunteer coaches to run. Divisions that do not meet this requirement may be canceled.
Waitlist spots are filled in the order received (first come, first served) and do not guarantee participation. Fees will not be charged unless a spot opens and the player is moved from the waitlist to an active roster. Families will be notified by email if a spot becomes available.

Player Equipment:

Each participant will receive:

An official NFL team jersey based on their assigned team
Flags for game play
Mouthguard

Optional items families may purchase for the season include:

Football cleats
Shorts or pants for practices and games

Uniform Fitting & Ordering Policy:

The Parks & Recreation Department provides sample uniforms for athletes to try on prior to ordering to help ensure accurate sizing. Sample uniforms are available at the Parks & Recreation Department office located at:

Office Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Families are strongly encouraged to visit the office before registration closes to determine the correct uniform size.

Please Note:

All uniform sales are final.
Uniform orders will be placed shortly after the registration period closes.
If the selected size is unavailable, the next available larger size will be ordered.
If an incorrect size is selected by the parent/guardian and a replacement is needed, an additional charge will apply.
The Parks & Recreation Department does not keep uniforms in stock; all uniforms are ordered through an external vendor.

Refund Policy:

If a program is canceled by Parks & Recreation, participants will be notified using the phone number or email provided during registration, and a full refund will automatically be issued. Refunds are processed through the City Finance Department and may take approximately 15–30 days.
