As a player, your attitude, effort, and sportsmanship play a crucial role in creating a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. The following expectations will help guide you in becoming the best player and teammate you can be:

Be a Team Player

Always support your teammates, both on and off the field. Encourage each other, celebrate successes, and help one another improve.

Give Your Best Effort

Always try your hardest at practices and games, no matter what your role is. Focus on learning, improving, and doing your best.

Be Respectful

Show respect to your coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials at all times. Treat everyone with kindness and sportsmanship, whether you’re winning or losing.

Listen and Follow Directions

Listen carefully to your coach’s instructions and follow them during practices and games. This will help you improve as a player and contribute to the success of the team.

Be On Time

Arrive at practices and games on time, ready to participate. Being punctual shows respect for your coach, teammates, and the game.

Work Hard to Improve

Focus on improving your skills and learning new techniques. Ask questions if you’re unsure about something, and be open to feedback from your coach.

Be Prepared

Bring all the necessary equipment to every practice and game, including your glove, bat, helmet, and water bottle. Dress appropriately for the weather conditions to ensure you’re comfortable and ready to play.

Have a Positive Attitude

Always maintain a positive attitude, even when things don’t go as planned. Stay focused, keep a smile on your face, and remember that mistakes are part of learning.

Support the Coach’s Decisions

Trust the decisions made by your coach regarding positions, playing time, and strategies. Remember that your coach is working to help the entire team improve.

Play Safely

Always prioritize safety on and off the field. Follow all safety guidelines, listen to your coach’s instructions, and be mindful of your actions to prevent injuries.

Represent Your Team and League

Be proud to represent your team and league. Show good sportsmanship both on and off the field, and always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects the values of Little League.
