  • About the league - Briarwood El Camino Little League (BELL) is located in Santa Clara, CA and has been the home to youth baseball players since 1960. We provide the experience of being part of a baseball community to players of all ages with our T-Ball, Rookie, Farm, Minor, Major Divisions, Junior's and 50/70 teams. We are a non-profit Organization, and run with the dedication and help of our volunteers and community members. We strive to provide an experience consisting of Baseball, Community, Teamwork and Dedication, and pride ourselves in supporting our youth in their love of the game.

  • What's BELL's purpose? - The objective of the Local League shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they maybe well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.
  • How do I determine my child's Little League age? - Please visit the official Little League Age Chart to determine your child's age for the upcoming season.
  • How many days a week are practice? - T-ball 1 time a week, Rookie level and up will practice 1 to 2 times a week. Your coach/team parent will be in contact with you about the dates, times and locations.
  • When are games/What days of the week can I expect my child to have games? - There will be possible week day games and some weekend games - your coach/team parent will be in contact with you about these dates. Or you can find these on our website under the "Team Central" tab.
  • Where do practices take place (locations)? - Cabrillo, Briarwood (Machado Park), Lou Vierra, Bowers, Scott Lane, and Montague. All locations of these fields can be found on our homepage of our website under "Field Status".
  • Will there be cross league games played?- For Farm, Minor, Major, Intermediate, Juniors and Seniors there is the potential for cross league games. These games could be played at our fields or the cross league fields. Your coach/team parent will be in contact with where you will be playing at. If not please check on our website under team central. 
  • Is there a discount for multiple siblings registered? - This year we are not offering sibling discounts. If there is a need to help pay for the registration for multiple children please check out our T-Moblie grant which can be found on our home page of our website.
  • My child is new to baseball, can they play down an age group/division? - We will do our best to have each child play in the division that matches both their age and ability level. 
  • Do parents have to sign up for snack shack shifts? - For further information please check out our "Volunteer" tab. 
  • What does the team parent commitment look like? - A Team Parent assists the Manager with all of the off the field duties including communicating with parents, scheduling snack bar volunteers, seeking sponsors, helping with fundraising and more.   • What does the assistant coach commitment look like? -  An Assistant Coach primarily helps the Manager coach the team and run the practices and games. If you have further questions please contact the division director for your age group which can be found on the "Contact Us" tab under the "About Us" page on our website or contact the Player Agent at [email protected].
  • What gear do I need to provide my player to participate? - Baseball pants, baseball cleats, USA Baseball approved bat, and glove. For more information on the Little League bat standards, please visit the Little League Bat Rules webpage.
  • How long is the little league season? - For Farm, Minor, Major, Intermediate, Juniors and Seniors divisions, the season runs roughly from February to June. Tryouts are held in January. Rookie and TeeBall  Divisions run from March to June. The main season ends at Closing Ceremonies on either the first or second Saturday in June, depending on the year and calendar. 

  • When are tryouts, and are they required? - Tryout dates are typically held on Saturdays in January from 9 a.m. - Noon. T-Ball and Rookie players are NOT required to try out. However, all League Age 8 and above are required to try out; players League ages 6 through 7 are encouraged to try out, but do not have to.
  • Will my child be able to play on a team with his friends? - For Rookie and T-Ball, our best effort will be made for players are able to play on a team with their friends. Please identify during the registration process the coach or other players your child would like to play with. For Farm, Minor and Major divisions there is a draft where players are selected onto teams.
  • I have a 14 or 15 year old, is there a division for them to play? - Yes we offer the following for our upper age division.
  • Intermediate (50/70) (ages 11-13) 
  • Junior League (ages 12-14) 
  • Senior League (ages 13-16)
