We are seeking part time assistant youth coaches to contribute to the Fall 2024 programming and beyond. Committed to serving the South Puget Sound rowing community with the highest quality rowing programs, CBRC was founded in 1992. We've grown to become one of the premier rowing clubs in the area, offering competitive programs for juniors (7th-12th grade), masters (post college), and sculling. Our teams train out of a modern boathouse on American Lake, and compete in local, regional, and national USRowing-affiliated regattas.
The coach will work directly with our novice and intermediate rowers, as well as assist in coaching our varsity rowers.
The assistant coaching positions are great entry-level positions for aspiring coaches eager to inspire and motivate the next generation of rowers and coxswains.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has:
- At least three years of experience rowing at the high school, club, or collegiate level
- a positive and inclusive attitude
- a current WA state boating card (or ability to obtain one before position start)
- Safesport certification (or ability to obtain one before position start)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain one before position start)
About the position
Start date:On or before August 23rd
Season dates: September 3rd - November 1st
15-20 hours/week, plus extra hours on regatta weekends $18-$22/hour, DOE
Practices are held Monday-Friday 3:45-5:45. during the Spring season.
Assistant coaching duties are from 3 - 6 p.m. on practice days.
Regattas: Assistan coaches attend 2 in Fall season.
Free membership is included for our coaches.
