Welcome to the Mallard Creek Chargers Pop Warner Football Program
Established in 2009 with just three teams, the Mallard Creek Optimist Club’s tackle football program has since grown to become one of the premier youth football programs in the area. By 2010, we expanded to six teams and proudly joined the Pop Warner Little Panthers Division. Our teams have built a strong tradition of excellence, and we look forward to continued growth in 2025!
At Mallard Creek Chargers, we are committed to using football as a platform to teach teamwork, leadership, discipline, and character. Our goal is to develop young athletes into responsible, resilient, and successful individuals on and off the field.
2025 Fall Season Information
Divisions:
📌 Age-Based Division – This division features a 2-year age span for younger groups and a 3-year age span for older divisions. There are no weight requirements.
📌 Pop Warner Football Age Brackets (Age as of 7/31/2025):
Season Timeline:
🏈 Season Duration: July 15 – November 2025
🏈 Practices: 2-3 times per week (varies by age group)
🏈 Games: Saturdays, starting end of August
🏈 Game Locations: Greater Charlotte area
Practice & Game Locations:
📍 Practice Fields: Mallard Creek Community Park – 3001 Johnston Oehler Road, Charlotte, NC 28262
📍 Home Games: Mallard Creek High School (Johnson Oehler Rd)
📍 Away Games: Charlotte Metro Area
Game Times:
⏳ Game schedules are determined week by week and will not be available in advance.
2025 Registration Details
💲 Registration Fee: $310
✔ Includes:
- Helmet, Practice Jersey & Shoulder Pads (Must be returned at the end of the season)
- Team Game Jersey
- Insurance & Facility Fees
📌 Parent Responsibilities:
- Practice Pants
- Cleats
- Mouthguard
📅 Registration Deadline: July 18, 2025
🔥 Early Registration Bonus (By July 11th): Your child will receive a personalized jersey with their last name to keep!
📌 After July 11th: Your child will receive a team-issued jersey with "Chargers" on the back, which must be returned at the end of the season.

📌 Returning Players: No birth certificate needed (saved in the system)
