2025 Fall Tackle Football

Join the Mallard Creek Chargers for an action-packed fall tackle football season! Our program is designed to develop young athletes by building skills, discipline, and teamwork in a competitive and fun environment.

📅 Important Dates:
  • Registration Closes: July 18th
  • Early Registration Bonus: Register by July 11th to receive a custom jersey with your child’s name to keep!
  • Registrations after July 11th will receive a team jersey with "Chargers" on the back, which must be returned at the end of the season.
🏈 Program Details:
  • Season Begins: July 15th
  • Games: Saturdays, starting the last Saturday in August
  • Home Field: Mallard Creek High School
  • Away Games: Charlotte Metro Area

  • Location: Mallard Creek Park (Baseball Fields) – 3001 Johnston Oehler Rd
  • Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Cheer Registration

2025 Fall Cheerleading

Welcome to the Mallard Creek Chargers Pop Warner Cheer Program! We are dedicated to building strong, confident, and talented cheerleaders while emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and academic success. Our program welcomes cheerleaders ages 3-16 and provides an exciting opportunity to learn cheer fundamentals, perform at football games, and compete in local and national cheer competitions!

Program Overview

  • 📅 Season Duration: July 15 – December 2025
  • 🏈 Sideline Cheer: Support our Chargers football teams during Saturday games
  • 🏆 Competition Cheer: All squads will compete in the Pop Warner Little Panthers Cheer Competition in October, with opportunities to advance to Regional and National Championships

Practice & Game Details

  • 🏟 Practice Location: Mallard Creek Park (3001 Johnston Oehler Rd, Charlotte, NC)
  • ⏳ Practice Schedule: 2-3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) depending on age group
  • 🎉 Game Days: Saturdays (starting late August) in the Charlotte Metro area
  • 📍 Home Games: Mallard Creek High School

No Experience? No Problem!

We welcome ALL skill levels—no tryouts required! Our goal is to help every cheerleader grow, whether they are beginners or experienced athletes. All we ask for is:

✔ A willingness to learn 📣

Registration Details

💲 Cost: $300 (includes uniform rental, socks, bows, bloomers, insurance & facility fees)
📄 Forms Required: Birth certificate (for new cheerleaders)

Competition Opportunities

All squads will compete in a local cheer competition in October. Cheerleaders on advancing teams may qualify for Regional and National Championships!

Softball Registration

2025 Spring Softball

The Mallard Creek Optimist Club Spring Softball Program is a non-profit organization committed to providing a fun, safe, and developmental softball experience for girls ages 8 to 16 in the Mallard Creek area.
Practice Location:

All practices are held at Mallard Creek Park (3001 Johnston Oehler Road, Charlotte, NC 28269).

Game Schedule:
Depending on your player's division, games will be held on one weekday evening per week and Saturdays for 8U. Teams typically play two games per week. Games take place at the following locations:
  • Mallard Creek Park (3001 Johnston Oehler Road, Charlotte, NC 28269)
  • East Lincoln Optimist Club Park (8086 Optimist Club Road, Denver, NC 28037)
  • Coul-Oak Little League
  • Coulwood Park (100 Coulwood Park Dr., Charlotte, NC 28214)
  • Oakdale Park (1390 Watts Dr., Charlotte, NC 28216)
Game Day Schedule by Division:
  • 8U: Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings
  • 10U: Monday and Thursday nights
  • 12U: Tuesday and Friday nights (may adjust to Tuesday and Thursday)
  • 14U/16U: Monday and Wednesday nights
Player Equipment Needs:
To ensure safety and proper participation, your player will need the following:
  • Batter’s Helmet with a built-in facemask
  • Fielder’s Glove
  • Fielder’s Facemask
  • Cleats (molded, not metal)
  • Black Softball Pants
  • Fastpitch Softball Bat (optional but recommended; coaches can assist with sizing)
The league will provide a jersey, belt, and socks as part of your registration dues.

Our program focuses on fostering skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship while ensuring players have fun and grow their love for the game. We look forward to having you join us this spring for another exciting season of softball!
