It is the mission of all Sky River coaches to provide a safe, instructive and fun environment for all players, regardless of skill level. It is encouraged that all coaches strive to learn more about the important role they play in a child's development in soccer.

All coaching positions within Sky River Soccer must be applied for. It is important that all individuals interested in coaching apply (or re-apply) each year. This ensures that we keep only good quality coaches within our club. Click on the appropriate link to complete the applicable coach application form:

All Coaches, Volunteers, Referees, must have a Risk Management Clearance per Washington Youth Soccer and USYSA.

Please be aware that regardless of any current RMA clearances you may have from another organization you must still be cleared through the RMA system managed by Washington Youth Soccer.

 

REGISTRATION PROCESS SUMMARY

With the ever changing demands to protect children from all forms of abuse and unfavorable conditions, all US Youth Soccer volunteers are required to first, complete a few online training courses and complete a national background check. This process is known as a Risk Management Application (RMA). Once all of the steps (step by step link below) have been completed, a volunteer is ready to be accepted to participate in a role for the Club. Currently, a completed and valid RMA expires annually on April 30th.

1) Register for your volunteer role on Sports Connect. 
Registration is done through the secure Sports Connect Registration System and can be done anytime Sky River registration is officially open. Registration must be redone for each new season and can be entered through the 'Volunteer' tab on your account screen.

2) Watch training videos on the US Soccer Learning Center web site.
Both video courses are now done through US Soccer Learning Center. The two video courses that need to be completed are:

* SafeSport
* Intro to Safety (concussion and sudden cardiac arrest rolled into one video)

Note: If you register at the US Soccer Learning Center site and use the same First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth and Email address that was used on this site (Sports Connect), you certifications will be automatically uploaded to Sports Connect within 24 hours. Otherwise you will need to download the .pdf certificate and upload it manually to your account screen under "My roles and Certificates".
