The Reisterstown Recreation Council (RRC)

The RRC is run by a volunteer Executive Board (us, we). Most Board members are, or have been, involved deeply in one or more Council programs. We approve and oversee the programs offered from an operational perspective (we don't evaluate coach performance, for example). We are knowledgeable about how the volunteer Council operates, and how it works through the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks to gain access to public facilities for the benefit of the community.

Each program has been approved by the Executive Board. A budget must be approved and all the finances must be in order to maintain a good standing. All programs must be self sufficient and be able to operate under the rules of the Recreation Council, Baltimore County and other groups connected to their operations. Most rely on volunteers from the head of the programs down to operate successfully.
