Welcome to the Tampa Bay United COVID-19 Resource page. This page will host our Return to Sport Guidelines, our current club update (video), as well as other COVID-19 related information.
Tampa Bay United's main priority is the health and safety of our players, staff, and members. Our club's Return to Sport Guidelines follow all county (Hillsborough), state, federal, and Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. We ask all players, staff, and members read and follow our Return to Sport Guidelines. If you feel sick, please stay home. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as but not limited to fever, cough, headache, loss of taste or smell, body aches, we ask that you get tested immediately. As of September 30, 2020, we are in PHASE 3 with the Return to Sport protocol.
PHASE 1*: Return to Sport protocol maintains a 9 player: 1 coach training ratio while maintaining non-contact social distance training as mandated by Hillsborough County Parks & Rec. Session length: 60-75 minutes. Temperature checks required, face masks worn to and from field, and no touching of soccer equipment.
PHASE 2*: Return to Sport protocol allows for large group training (contact allowed), session length: 60-90 minutes. Temperature checks required, face masks worn to and from field, and no touching of soccer equipment. As of September 14, 2020, intraclub competition is permissible at all four TBU campus locations, no outside competition.
PHASE 3*: Return to Sport protocol allows for large group training (contact allowed). Session length: 60-90 minutes. Temperature checks required and face masks worn to and from field. Introduction of interclub competition. Spectators must wear face masks and social distance 6 feet.
