At the heart of the Burlington-Edison Youth Soccer program are the volunteers - truly. This program would not run without the commitment of time, energy and dedication that each of our volunteers brings to the table. Please consider volunteering with us this year. It's sure to be a rewarding experience, as you'll have the chance to make a difference in the lives of youth here in Burlington. We appreciate your consideration and commitment to youth sports!
VOLUNTEER POSTIONS AVAILABLE:
1. As Head Coach, you'll: conduct and supervise all practices and games for the season, promote positive sportsmanship to players by being a role model on and off of the field, help develop players skill, focus on teamwork, teach aspects of the game of soccer, and maintain correspondence with City of Burlington Parks and Recreation Staff (who coordinate the B-EYS program).
2. As Assistant Coach, you'll: assist the coach in the above Head Coach responsibilities. You're able to step in and lead practices and games when the Head Coach is unable. 3. As Team Manager, you'll: help with arrangements for an end of season team party, post-game snacks, carpools and communications between coach and parents. This is a fun position to hold for your team and can really help to assist the coaches organize the season in a way that is meaningful and fun for parents and players to get the most out of the season whether on or off the field.
