New for 2024, GYSA is excited to announce it will be joining and playing with the Gulf Coast Baseball Alliance (GCBA) in its inaugural season. This baseball (not softball) alliance is made up of surrounding communities including: Long Beach, Harrison Hancock, Orange Grove, Saucier, D'Iberville, and Woolmarket. The Alliance will allow GYSA to interleague with surrounding organizations providing more game experience in age groups that have few teams.The Alliance will offer in-season tournaments, and a postseason tournament trail (All Stars).
No significant rule changes will affect GYSA from previous years, the All Star teams will be allow use of USA Baseball and/or USSSA bats.
Please see below bat requirements for upcoming season:
-T-Ball (6U): USA or USSSA stamped bat (no drop restrictions)
-Rookie/Coach Pitch (8U): USA or USSSA stamped bat (no drop restrictions)
-Minor (10U): USA or USSSA stamped bat (no drop restrictions)
-Major (12U): USA or USSSA stamped bat (Must be drop 8 or less **less as in number not as in weight**)
