PROGRAM INFORMATION

MAYS Striker Junior Academy is a soccer development program designed to encourage the technical and tactical development of players looking to join the 9U-12U Academy and 13U+Select programs.  It is a seasonal academy-style program designed for motivated and advanced players that desire to be challenged in every aspect of her/his game. Players will train with professional staff coaches and with other players of similar skill and desire.   Players are trained in small groups and play non-results orientated games.

The Junior Academy program allows players to participate on a season to season basis, without committing to a full year.

Purpose

This program is designed to bridge the gap between Recreational soccer and 9U-12U Academy soccer.  A more focused environment is created for players who love the game, where individual player development allow players to master the key soccer techniques and concepts that are required at a higher level of play.  This program allows players to experience an academy style soccer environment while preparing players and parents for the next steps in the soccer process.  This program does not replace 6U & 8U recreational soccer.

Eligibility

The Junior Academy program is available to all Recreational boys and girls participating in the 6U & 8U age bracket that have completed at least one year in recreational soccer.
