Non League Youth Wrestling Tournaments
On Your Own - Not Included in your Registration Fee

Here are a couple of things to remember about Novice and Open tournaments outside of our York County Youth Wrestling League (YCYWL) events:

Fees: Registration is on your own and in addition to Central York Youth Wrestling Registration Fees. The fees usually range from $15-$30 per tournament. Registration can be completed by mailing the registration form to the address included on the form or some tournaments are set up with online registration. You will also be expected to pay an admission fee for adults and students to get into the gym. Adults are usually $5 and students are usually $1-$3. See the registration form for each event.

Weights:  Refer to the registration form for the details.
Honor System: You supply your child's weight on the registration form. BE HONEST
Madison System: Wrestlers are all weighed  and placed in groups of four or five lightest to heaviest for round robin competition.

Awards: At most Novice tournaments all participants receive an award of some type. See the registration form for details.

Coaching: Non YCYWL events are considered, on your own. However, if a Central York coach is attending they will usually be available to coach your kids. Please understand that they may not be available to coach your kids the entire day or if there are more than one wrestler on the mat at the same time.
