Competitive Program

The Impact Soccer Club Competitive program is composed of some of the best players from Brentwood, Discovery Bay, Oakley, and nearby unincorporated surrounding areas and surrounding communities. The coaches, trainers, players and their parents are dedicated to the development of advanced soccer technique and tactics. Good sportsmanship and fun are still a major part of our program focus, however, Competitive program players work hard to achieve the soccer success they have come to expect and enjoy.

Playing for the Impact Soccer Club Competitive program offers the opportunity to play with and against players of the highest ability and to travel and meet players from other cities throughout California and beyond. Many Competitive program players compete for positions on district, state, regional and national Olympic Development teams as well as high school and college teams. Impact Competitive teams play in the NorCal playing league and in tournaments throughout Northern California. Impact Soccer Club is also a US Club Soccer member and participates in select events that offer additional developmental opportunities for our players and teams.

Commitment
The competition is with and against the best. Players selected for the Competitive program must expect to work hard individually at home and at team training sessions to improve their level of play. Neither position nor playing time are guaranteed; they are earned.  Impact Competitive teams are for players who want to be challenged to grow in their soccer skills and love of the game. Parents must also devote significant time, effort and energy supporting their player, their team and the club.

Placements
Placements for the Competitive teams are held in January/February for U8-U14 teams and in March for the U15-U18 teams. Players trying out for the Competitive program must attend as many of the placements as possible. Teams will be selected and announced within a week of their final placement date.

Professional Coaching
Professional coaching is a major benefit of Impact Soccer Club. The Impact coaching staff are some of the most dedicated, trained and experienced. Impact brings the best coaching resources to the players in our program. The Director of Coaching recruits and contracts qualified coaches to work with Impact players. The Director of Coaching and the Board of Directors set coaching fees for the program.
