Open League

Registration

• Registration will be done on a per team basis. Teams must register online or by contacting Joan Schumann at [email protected]. 
• Registration must be completed by the posted deadline.
• No team may add a player after roster freeze date.
• All players will sign a waiver and release of liability before they can play.

Guest Players

•  Guest players are not allowed. Only the players listed on the roster are eligible to play.

• If a team has players not on the roster, the team will forfeit the game and a score of 0-3 will be recorded. The game can still be played as long as the guest players sign a waiver and release of liability and the opposing team agrees to play the match.

Equipment and Uniforms

• Shinguards are emphasized, but not mandatory.
• No jewelry of any kind may be worn during the game. It is up to the discretion of the referee if the taping of the jewelry is sufficient.

Official League Game Play Rules

• All play will be governed by FIFA laws.
• You must have at least 6 players to begin play or the game will be forfeited.
• OFFSIDES - A player can only be ruled offside in the penalty area.

Substitutions

•  Substitutions may be made on any dead-ball situation. All substitutes must petition the referee before entering the game. 

• NO ON-THE-FLY SUBSTITUTIONS.

Slide Tackling & General Tackling

• Slide tackling is not permitted at any time.
• Goalkeepers are permitted to slide, as long as they do not tackle feet first. 
• Infractions of this rule will result in an indirect free kick.

Points and Tiebreakers

• 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss. Tie breakers are: 1. Head to Head  2. Goal Differential  3. Goals Against (Goal Differential is capped at +/- 5 per game)

Discipline & Suspensions

• Players receiving 2 yellow cards in a game will be suspended for the following game. Officials will note the player served the sit out on the game day roster.  The player is not required to be present at the sit out match.
• Players who attempt to play during a suspension will be suspended for the rest of the season without a refund.
• Players receiving a straight red will serve a suspension as outlined above.
• Players receiving a second red card will result in an additional game suspension, resulting in the player sitting out a total of 2 games.
• Any match that involves a FIGHT will be terminated immediately. The game will not be rescheduled and the two teams will not receive any score or points for the game.  The two teams forfeit their right for a guaranteed 8 games.  Other punishment may follow as deemed necessary by our League Director.

Forfeits

• Teams that forfeit on the day of the game by not having enough players will be charged a $30 fee.  Teams must give at least a 24 hour notice if they cannot play, in which a make up may be rescheduled at the discretion of the other team and the League Director.  Any team that forfeits 3 games will be excused from the league.

Over 30 League

Goalkeeper Distribution

• Goalkeepers may not punt or drop kick the ball over the midfield line. Goalkeepers are allowed to throw or kick the ball from the ground over the midfield line.
• Infractions of this rule will result in a free kick at where the ball crossed the midfield line.
