Waltham Youth Soccer Player Code of Conduct
As a member of Waltham Youth Soccer, I agree to represent my team, coaches, and community with respect, effort, and integrity.
1. Respect for Others
● Players will treat all teammates, coaches, opponents & referees with respect.
● Players will not use inappropriate language, taunt, or bully others.
2. Teamwork & Sportsmanship
● Players should encourage teammates and support them - win or lose.
● Players will show good sportsmanship before, during, and after games/practices (handshakes, positive attitude etc.).
3. Effort & Commitment
● Players will give their best effort at practices and games.
● Players will listen to their coaches and try to improve their skills at every practice & game.
● Players will minimize outside distractions, such as phones and other electronic devices by keeping them in their bag, or not bringing them to practice.
4. Responsibility
● Players will take care of their equipment and help keep fields and facilities clean.
● Players will show up to Practice & Games with their correct uniform & equipment (Cleats, Shin Guards, Water etc.).
5. Safety & Health
● Players will play safely and avoid actions that could harm others or themselves.
● Players will follow all safety rules and report any injuries to a coach immediately.
● Players agree that Fighting in any form will not be tolerated. Failure to follow this code of conduct could result in:
1. Verbal warning to the player, from the coach.
2. Parents will be informed and asked to assist with any issues
3. Players may receive reduced playing/practice time.
4. Players may be removed from the program (for serious or repeated violations).
