General Registration Information.

Age Groups

Intown program: U6-U8 (Kindergarten-2nd grade); must be 4 by 8/31/2025
PreK/K: Practices/Games Sunday afternoons (Girls 12:30-1:30pm; Boys 2:00-3:00pm)
Grade 1: Practices/Games Sunday afternoons (Boys and Girls 3:30-4:30pm)
Grade 2: 1 practice on Friday evenings; Games Saturday afternoons (times can vary)

Travel Program: U10-U14 (3rd-8th grade); Final practices day/times dictated by coaches.
Boys: Practices M/W nights; games Saturdays (times vary)
Girls: Practices T/Th nights; games Saturdays (times vary)

IF YOU ARE NEW TO TRAVEL PROGRAM
If you are new to the travel program once returners are placed on teams, we will let you know if a slot if available on a team at the appropriate level. You have to be able to attend a placement session during January to be placed on a travel team. If there is no slot available on a team at the appropriate level we will refund your registration fee. Returners have preference to register through November 1st.

A couple of notes to help during the process:

1) You have to create an account within the system: https://clubs. bluesombrero.com/Default.aspx? tabid=1123100

2) For travel team parents (grades 3 and up), do not start registration process until you have a photo of your child ready to upload. You can not register your child without uploading a photo. You will be required to upload a recent photo.

3) For travel team parents, birth certificate, country of citizenship and country of birth are on the registration page but those questions can be skipped. We were not able to remove it from the registration page.

4) For the in-town league you do not need to upload a photo of your child. Birth certificate and photo are part of registration, but they are not required for registration so you can skip these questions.

5) Registration through this site is based on your child’s birthdate, however Waltham soccer is still based on grade level. We understand that some children may be older or younger than their classmates. When you enter your child’s birthdate, if it does not show the correct grade level program for them, please register them for the grade level shown and contact the registrar and we can move them to the correct age level on the backend.

- Registration: Will close as soon as teams are full (including waitlist) for travel. Intown will remain open but register early to ensure your slot.

- Spring: 6-9 weeks with games starting on Late March/early April - beginning/middle of June

Spring 2026 In Town Soccer Grade 2

This registration for the Waltham in-town program for 2nd grade.

This program is only open to residents of Waltham or who have children who attend Waltham schools.

Second grade has one practice a week typically on Friday afternoon (typically from 5:15-6:15) and a game on Saturday afternoon (typically with start times between 2 and 4 pm). Season is ~8 weeks. For the grade 2, we will try to have practices on other days, but it depends on the availability of coaches. Teams from the fall may be disrupted and teams will be formed solely based on coordinated practice days.

Spring 2026 Travel Soccer Grades 3-8

This is the registration for the Waltham travel league for grades 3-8. This travel league is for competitive soccer. All participants must attend a placement during the spring. If you are unable to attend we will refund your registration fee and your child will not have a slot in the program. Returners have preference until Saturday November 1st. If you are new to the program, we will let you know if a slot is available once teams are formed at the appropriate level for your participant. Your registration fee may be refunded if 1) there is not a slot or 2) you do not attend placements.

This is the registration for the SPRING SEASON ONLY.

This program is only open to residents of Waltham or who have children who attend Waltham schools.

Our teams play in the Middlesex Youth Soccer League.

Training sessions are 2 times per week and a Saturday match. Practices are typically Monday and Wednesday nights for Boys and Tuesday and Thursday nights for Girls, but final days and times are decided by coaches.

Games are 7v7 in 3rd & 4th Grade, 9v9 in 5th & 6th Grade, and 11v11 for grade 7th & above. Game times for Saturday vary and can run from 8am till 6pm.
