Underwood Optimist Club (U.O.C.) helps to coordinate establishing multiple volleyball teams in the COBRA Volleyball League. These teams compiled by the U.O.C. will be comprised entirely of Underwood Community Schools students in order to promote playing together as teammates and learning together as they grow into competitive volleyball.

NOTE: All of the following information regarding playing time and positions in all divisions can be altered by the coaches based upon the players attitude, effort, practice and game attendance, and respect shown to opposing teams, teammates, coaches, referees, etc.
2nd-4th Grade Division
- Developmental division with an emphasis on teaching the girls the basics of the game of volleyball.
- Expect an equal amount of playing time on the court over the course of the season.
- All girls should have opportunities to play all the positions over the duration of the season through normal rotations.
- Matches are 2-3 sets with rally scoring to 25. Third set would go to 15 (Time permitting).
- Expect to play 9-10 evenings/season on Mondays or Tuesdays.
- Season completed by mid-November with an end of season tournament usually for 3rd and 4th grade.

5th-7th Grade Division
- Still very developmental in nature
- Expect an equal amount of playing time on the court over the course of the season, however, coaches may use offensive rotations in this league to begin teaching girls about the different positions.
- Matches are 2-3 sets with rally scoring to 25. Third set would go to 15 (Time permitting).
- Expect to play 9-10 evenings/season on Mondays or Tuesdays.
- Season completed by mid-November with an end of season tournament.
