SOFT-SHELLED HELMET AND MOUTHGUARD REQUIRED FOR ALL GAMES.

Just a reminder that all players MUST have a soft-shelled helmet and mouth guard for ALL CFA league games. The purpose for the helmets, although they may not prevent concussions, can minimize the risk of concussions if a proper soft-shelled helmet is used. More often it is repeat head trauma due to incidental contact that is the real problem.

If your player needs a helmet, please order your helmet as soon as possible. You must have your soft-shelled helmet and mouth guard by first game day of the season in order to play. No exceptions.

You may choose a soft-shelled helmet of your choice designed for flag football and 7 on 7 football. You can google "soft-shelled helmet for football". Please make sure that the soft shelled helmet you purchase meets the industry safety standards for football. No metal or hard plastic.

There are many options on-line, with different quality and pricing. Amazon has several options, as well as other well know brands.

It is important that the helmet fits correctly, so make sure to follow their recommended sizing instructions and guidelines.

We have two companies that we have used and know the quality of their product, Gamebreaker and Rocksolid.
We have provided links to Gamebreaker soft-shelled helmets as an option.

Rocksolid helmets can be purchased on-line at Dick's Sporting Goods for $39.99 plus tax/shipping. They may have inventory at the local store, but it's best to order early. You can copy and paste the link below to order from Dick's or go on their website and search Rocksolid helmet.

Gamebreaker helmets can be purchased on-line. Gamebreaker has given our players a league discount when using the CFA link below (Gamebreaker's discount is built in). You must use the link provided for the CFA discount. If you go directly to their website, the cost of the helmet is higher.

Please order ASAP as some companies need at least 2 weeks for shipping.

CFA does not sell or rent helmets at this time and will not have any available at the field. However, we will take helmet donations if your child has outgrown their helmet.

Please make sure your child's name is clearly marked on their helmet as we've had a few lost helmets each season.

Don't forget the mouth guard, which can be purchased at Dick's, Walmart, Big 5, Target, or on-line.
