MUSC - Milford Spring 2025 (u10-U15)
Welcome to the MUSC soccer club. A non profit organization dedicated to teaching the great sport of soccer to the youth of Milford from ages 3 to 19 years old.
Please take a minute and read this important information.
We open registration early so we have enough time to enter the correct about of teams into district play, so please register as soon as possible so we get it right. We want to have the right number of teams at the correct levels, too many late registrations makes it difficult to get everything sorted in time and all the correct information sent out to everyone.
We hold try evaluations for some of our divisions to help determine what level of play our teams should be entered into. If they are required we will advise everyone when they will be.
Ot is very important you provide a Headshot, one that looks like a drivers license pic for the referee, no full body shots or multiple people or pets please. Please also make sure you upload your child's Birth certificate, We do not see them but the state registra will disqualify your child from playing until these are properly uploaded.
Our girls programs train 2 nights per week for aprox 10 weeks (Depending on weather ) on Monday and Wednesday nights at (5:30 to 6:45) or (7:00 to 8:15PM).
Our boys programs train 2 nights per week for aprox 10 weeks ( Depending on weather ) on Tuesday and Thursday nights at (5:30 to 6:45) or (7:00 to 8:15PM).
Aprox. 8-10 Games are played on the weekends home and away for our u10 travel team, and all other teams that may be formed from u11 to u19 depending on the season. U10 in house plays at Milford academy, Boys on Saturdays and Girls on Sundays.
Uniforms: Uniforms ordering has a very specific process. After registering you will be assigned a number, 3 choices will be requested at the time of registering. After the number is assigned you will need to go to the MUSC.org website and click on the order uniform button. That will connect you with our external supplier where you can purchase what you need.
White jersey and Blue jersey is required ( home and away colors to avoid other team conflicts )
Blue shorts and blue soccer socks.
You will also need a soccer ball size #4 for u10 thru u12 age groups, or #5 for u13 thru u19 age groups, Proper sized shin guards and soccer cleats.
Weather: Soccer is a rain sport and we try our best to play every game and hold every practice possible, but keeping safety first no events will be played if dangers like Lightning or dangerous field conditions are present. We usually make the call 2 hours prior to the event via an email. So please know the weather is always on our minds and we monitor it very carefully and made the call as late as possible so its the right call.
State Cup Competition and tournaments: Many of our teams enter the state cup competition, This is a whole state competition and its a weekly win and advance tournament until a champion is crowned. MUSC has had great success with several teams competing with the best teams in the state. A team may also enter a local tournament like the West Haven, Madison, Guilford or Clinton tournament. They are usually 4 games over a weekend and a ton of fun. There is a nominal tournament fee for this if the team agrees to participate.
Rules and responsibilities: Girls will not be allowed to wear earring's, no jewelry is allowed by anyone, shin guards are a must and proper soccer cleats for all practices and games. We ask that all the player arrive on time and all parents arrive 5 minutes or so before the end of a practice. We ask that you do not address any referee , the other teams coaches or players. We ask that you drive slow entering all parking lots and field area as many kids are getting dropped off. Please respect the game, other parents, visiting parents, the field by keeping it clean and please do not coach your kid or the game from the parent side. Please contact your commissioner if you want to help the team as an parent volunteer.
