The Colorado Jackrabbits Baseball program’s main objective is to prepare our young men for success not only on the baseball diamond, but also to prepare them for success throughout their life. We will do this through teaching personal responsibility and responsibility to one’s teammates. While teaching baseball skill and winning games is important, they are secondary to the life lessons that being a Jackrabbit can teach. Our program seeks to do this by adhering to set of core values of family, school, and baseball, very much in that order.
The principles that the foundation of this program have been built are hard work, be humble, and treat people with respect. We will push all our players to work hard, and to give 100% everyday, not only on the field but in the classroom. We will strive to be humble throughout this entire journey. We will teach our players to be respectful to the game, in the classroom, and throughout all aspects of life. We will treat all people with the utmost respect, being respectful to all coaches, teachers, teammates, and family in a way that will make the Jackrabbits family proud.
Our goals are always the same. We are a program because we believe that we are here to produce great young men, who happen to be great baseball players. We will help our athletes reach their full potential in the classroom, on the field, and in life. We will teach our players the value of respect, responsibility, integrity, and hard work.
If you think this is stupid, if you don’t believe in it, if you are too cool to buy into our team concept, do everyone a favor and don’t participate. No one is too important to lose. No one is bigger than the team.
