2024 Spring Recreational Registration:

The Spring League plays on Sundays, beginning March 3 to April 28. No games on Easter Sunday, March 31.
There are NO weekday practices for our Spring League instead teams will practice 20 minutes prior to each game on Sundays.
Registration fees:
Early Bird (December 1 - December 31, 2023)
Under 6-12 - $225.00
Regular Registration (January 1 – January 31, 2024)
Under 6-12 - $250.00
Registration will close on February 1. Registrations received after January 31 will be charged a $25 late fee if space is available.
Please note, for players that did not play in our Fall Recreational League or another Cal South affiliated league in Fall 2023, there will be a $10 Cal South membership fee added at checkout.
Age Groups:
Under 6: U5/U6 players (born in 2019 & 2018) play 4 v 4
Under 8: U7/U8 players (born in 2017 & 2016) play 7 v 7
Under 10: U9/U10 players (born in 2015 & 2014) play 7 v 7
Under 12: U11/U12 players (born in 2013 & 2012) play 9 v 9
We have a waitlist in the following age groups:GU6, BU10, GU10, BU12
Our Spring 2024 Recreational Registration includes:
- 8 week season with Sunday practice followed by game
- Spring League t-shirts
- Participation medal
- Certified USSF referees
- Field set up and take down
- Cal South trained and licensed volunteer coaches
- Games played on Allen Field or Torrey Pines ES in La Jolla
Registration Terms:
- All registration is online
- New players must submit a copy of their birth certificate to the LJYSL office for age verification
- We will do our best to honor ONE coach or friend request per player but there are no guarantees. Requests must be made at the time of EARLY BIRD registration (by December 31, 2023). We will not honor requests after December 31
- Play up or play down requests must be approved by the Director of Recreation
Season Details:
- All games are played on Sundays beginning March 3 through April 28
- There are no weekday practices for our Spring League. Instead, teams will practice for 20 minutes followed by a 40 minute game each Sunday
- No games on Easter Sunday, March 31
- Recreational Spring League is a recreational league. There are no tryouts to participate in the league.
- Players will be contacted by their coach with season details by March 1
- NO make up games for rain outs
