Tonka United Soccer Association is pleased to invite your boys and girls traveling, tournament recreational plus teams to participate in our annual traveling tournament, the Tonka Splash. Our tournament is set to take place in and around the beautiful Lake Minnetonka area June 5-7th, 2015. So bring your best game, your swimsuits and your water crafts for a fun weekend of competitive soccer and relaxation. This tournament is open to USYSA ,MYSA and USClub affiliated organizations.
ALL Metro Area Teams MUST Check-in on Thursday June 2nd at the Minnetonka High School Cafeteria (18301 MN-7, Minnetonka, MN 55345) between 6-9 PM.
Out-State and Out-of State check in at least 1 hour prior to your first game at the MMW Tournament Headquarters Tent (Minnetonka Middle School West) (6421 Hazeltine Blvd, Excelsior, MN 55331). Friday; 4pm-9pm. Saturday; open at 7:00am
Manager's Checklist for Check-in:
Players and Rosters:
- Players and coaches must be registered with USCLUB Soccer, USYSA or MYSA approved organizations. All out-of-state teams must submit written proof of permission to travel 15 days in advance of the Tournament.
- All Twin Cities Metro Teams must register Thursday evening and all Out-State & Out-of-State teams at the tournament headquarters at least one hour prior to their first game. At registration, teams will need to provide:
- Valid player passes must be presented to the field official prior to the start of each game. All teams must have medical authorizations available for inspection at games.
- Maximum roster size of 12 players (U9 & 10), 14 players (U11 & U12), and 18 players (U13 - U15).
- A player may only play on one team. There is a limit of 3 guest players for U9-U12. There is a limit of 4 guest players for U13-U15. No player may guest on a team at a lower competitive level.
Risk Management Summary:
- Every player, coach, manager etc. participates at his/her own risk. Trainers or similar will be present at some tournament locations. However, each team is responsible for its own medical supplies (including ice) and for the treatment of injuries.
- The Tonka Splash follows the MYSA severe weather guidelines. The Tournament Director reserves the right to shorten/cancel games due to weather & poor field conditions. Weather in MN is hard to predict and we will make every effort to get all games in, however safety is first.
