50/70 Falls in State Tournament
Our 50/70 team battled hard during the state tournament.
After being rained out on Friday night, they played Desert High (District 3) Saturday afternoon. It was a hard fought battle for most of the game. But they took Copper Hills by storm one inning and the game finished in 5 innings 18-5.
Then again, rained out most of Sunday, Copper Hills took the field at 9pm against a dominate Nogales (District 8) team. That one finished in 4 innings 25-0.
It was a disheartening close to a hard fought season.
