North Torrance Girls Softball league exists to help develop the interest, skills and desires of our ever‐growing younger generation of softball players. Our program offers various classifications of fastpitch play, with emphasis on fun and providing a positive, supportive environment for all participants.

Programs

We offer a recreational softball programs for girls 6 – 18 years old. There are 4 programs for all skill levels, Spring Rec Ball, All Stars, Fall Rec Ball and Select Team.

Our divisions include:  8 Under, 10 Under, 12 Under, 14 Under – 6 Under & 18 Under (High School)

6 Under is available during Spring Rec Ball and All Stars only

18 Under (High School) is available during Fall Rec Ball and All Stars only

Spring Rec Ball (Feb – May) is available for girls to enhance their athletic abilities and develop a healthy sense for competition. Development is encouraged through practice, technique drills, condition training and team competition.

All Stars all star dec 2023 correted.pdf ( May – August) is an invitational team that competes in tournaments.  Players are selected from participants of the Spring Rec Ball program. Nominations are made by the Spring Rec Ball coaches and final selection is determined by the All-Star managers and approved by the Board of Directors. There is at least one team selected per division.

Fall Rec Ball – (August – Nov) is an introductory program designed for training and transitioning into a new division.

Select Teams – (Nov – March) competitive teams that are selected by the Managers based on skills and ability. Players will be given specific positions at the discretion of the Team Manager with approval from the Board of Directors.

Our League is situated on TUSD property and we are subject the TUSD Operating Procedure. TUSD has granted North Torrance Girls Softball League access to the fields for more than 45 years. We have built a long-standing partnership with TUSD and the surrounding community by being good neighbors and respecting the guidelines set in place.

We rely on our League Members to support our good standing with TUSD and the Surrounding community by observing the rules.

·         All activities shall require the presence of authorized district personnel at all times.

·         Smoking or tobacco products are not permitted on district property. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on district property.

·         Any violations of law, district policy and/or procedure will result in the immediate revocation of the User of Facilities permit and removal of the group from district property

·         Animals of all types and kinds, whether or not people are controlling them or have custody of them, are prohibited on all district facilities except as provided below:

a. Properly licensed service dogs accompanying a disabled participant (or service dog in training) in an instructional program are uniformly and automatically exempted from this policy.
