Welcome to Northwest United Soccer Club
We are a non-profit travel soccer club in the Northwest District of the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association. Our players primarily come from the Northwest corner of Connecticut from the towns of Salisbury, Sharon, Kent, Canaan, Falls Village and Cornwall. We also welcome kids from nearby towns in New York state and Massachusetts.
The goal of the Northwest United Soccer Club is to provide an opportunity for soccer enthusiasts in the towns of northwest Connecticut to play competitive soccer or participate in other soccer-related activities. We field teams in the fall and spring seasons. Seasons are ten weeks long and are comprised of eight games, four home and four away. We play other travel soccer clubs in our corner of the state. Children typically join our travel teams when they have had some soccer experience and have developed an interest. Our juniors program welcomes soccer beginners.
Teams are formed by age, skill level, and interest shown by the players and their families; sometimes tryouts are necessary and sometimes not. The Club strives to provide the best coaching and soccer experience possible and to encourage sportsmanship and love of the game. Our coaches are volunteers, predominantly parents. Each season we also hire a professional trainer to work with our teams and coaches.
