Juniors volunteers needed!

Player spots for the Juniors Program are limited by the number of certified parent coach volunteers we have.

Being a volunteer "coach"  requires NO soccer background, just the ability to commit to helping out every Saturday for one hour and again once during the week for U8.

We need volunteers to register and complete their certifications ASAP.
The more certified coaches we have, the more players we can take.

You are able to register to coach, when you sign up your children, or by logging into your Litchfield Soccer Club account and going to the Volunteer tab.
A registered coach cannot be applied toward our player numbers until they also complete their Risk Status (background check) and the Safe Sport training (a 1.5-hour online video/class).

The program also needs non-coaching volunteers to help with painting the fields, helping with uniforms and more. Non coaching volunteers only require the background check. You can sign up during player registration.

An Engaging Introduction to Soccer

The Soccer Heroes program has been designed to provide an age specific approach to learning the game of soccer. Utilizing the Soccer Heroes theme and our fun story based curriculum, this program engages players and parents alike and fosters a memorable first soccer experience. Soccer XS coaching support helps create a dynamic training environment and supports volunteer coaches, some of whom may be coaching for the very first time.U5 Soccer Heroes

If you're a parent of young children, you know that life is about play, fun and making friends. The Soccer Heroes program brings that same approach of fun, discovery and learning in a soccer program that engages the whole family and creates lasting memories.

The 8 week, age specific program, is a step by step interactive development guide for youth soccer organizations that run U5 soccer programs. The curriculum is based around the adventures of Amazing Ava and Super Joel who get their super powers from a special soccer ball. The program is based around 3 developmental areas:

  • Storytelling
  • Imagination & Play
  • Motor Skills Development

All of the learning points are integrated into the games, stories and play; this allows the children to learn in their natural environment while having fun.

The role of the coach is one of story teller and activity facilitator, with the coaching points integrated into the stories. Learning to play with the ball is all part of the stories and the fun. Each child has their own Soccer Heroes soccer ball which teaches them Ava and Joel's soccer super powers as we progress through the season. The program is fun for player’s, coaches and parents alike, it will create a memorable soccer experience for everyone involved and will leave everyone looking forward to their next soccer season.
