2022/23 Financial Aid Application

The HPFC Financial Assistance Program provides qualifying players (club members) financial aid towards their Annual Club Fees. The program is open to all registered HPFC players who provide a complete and accurate application (with requested supporting documentation) and meet the qualifying criteria.

The Financial Aid application is available below.

The total amount of financial aid, and the amount of an individual player or family award, can vary from year to year. Awards are determined based on a formula that considers the number of qualifying applicants, the demonstrated financial need of each applicant, and the total amount of financial aid funding available. HPFC's Financial Aid Committee sets the qualifying criteria based on a ratio of reported family income, akin to that used for school lunch programs. The committee then reviews applicant information and determines the award amounts based on the qualifying criteria, supporting documentation, and the formula. Individual awards for qualifying players have typically ranged between 20% to 50% over the last few years.

Applications are due by the deadline posted on the application form. Applications received after the annual deadline will regularly be considered only for new players or families that have experienced a new financial hardship, such as unemployment or disability. For the latter, proof of hardship must be included with your application (i.e., disability check, unemployment voucher, etc.). HPFC cannot guarantee the availability of financial aid - particularly for applications received after the annual deadline.

By applying for financial aid, applicants expressly understand and consent that players may be immediately dismissed from HPFC if the information provided to the Financial Assistance Program is found to be fabricated, falsified, or intentionally incorrect in reporting financial status. Changes in income that affect a player’s eligibility for the program must be reported to the Financial Aid Committee.

Families of players receiving financial aid are expected to provide a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer time per player receiving aid. Failure to complete volunteer hours may limit player eligibility for current or future aid. Volunteer opportunities are widely available – club committees, team management, and the Highline Premier FC Auction, for example. Please contact the HPFC Operations Director with any questions.

All financial aid is applied to players’ HPFC Annual Club Fees. Financial aid does not cover and/or include individual team fees, player uniforms, or other costs or fees. All players are required to pay the nonrefundable player Commitment Fee regardless of whether they are awarded financial aid, and are also responsible for their proportionate share of any team fees. Players/families should work with their individual team manager and/or treasurer regarding any assistance for team fees.

Each HPFC financial aid applicant is judged on the basis of demonstrated financial need. HPFC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Any financial aid offered is at the sole discretion of HPFC. HPFC, through its Financial Aid Committee, reserves the right to modify the qualifying criteria and/or the financial aid formula each year as needed to adjust for the amount of financial aid funding available and the club's financial circumstances. Again, individual eligibility for financial aid, or the amount of aid awarded, may change from year to year.

Questions may be directed to the HPFC Registrar or HPFC Treasurer.
