What is the Petite Rams Program?
The Petite Rams Program is our entry level programming for all pre-k players with adventure based learning with a soccer ball. The program will focus on the FUNdamentals of soccer combined with the ABCs of movement (Agility, Balance, Coordination).
- Provides a FUN and structured soccer experience for our youngest players
- Focus on games that are based around mass participation with almost continuous contact with a ball to improve their comfort with and familiarity of dribbling and controlling the ball with their feet
- Games will include fundamental movements such as agility, balance, and coordination
Is there a uniform?
- We ask that all Petite Rams arrive in black shorts, black socks, shinguards (worn inside the socks), cleats and the white t-shirt given to them at their first session of the season
- If you cannot get them out of the house or on the field unless they are wearing their favorite pink socks, we understand for this age group!
Should my child play with their birth year or grade level?
New Canaan FC is happy to allow our youngest players the option to play based on a child’s birth year or grade level. The registration system will only allow you to register your child based on their birth year, but after you register, forward your confirmation email to [email protected] and request that your child be moved to the desired program. Any credits due to program price differences will be placed back on your Blue Sombrero account.
