Community Soccer Clubs like FCFC can enter teams into three levels of competition. Divisions 5 and 6 are recreational levels that play clubs in the PA West North District. This includes most of the Allegheny Valley to the Freeport Area and most of the Route 8 / Butler Valley to North Allegheny in Wexford. These teams do travel to other communities for competition.
Division 4 travel is the highest competition level for each age group. Teams may be scheduled to play teams from PA West's geographical area which includes Erie, State College, Morgantown/Bridgeport and Wheeling. Players and Teams are required to travel to other communities for all scheduled games. If this commitment is not suited to your family, you should not accept an invitation to play on a Division 4 team. U10-U12 is a two (2) season commitment, if unable to make this commitment, please do not accept the invitation. U13/14 may only be for spring given school teams.
All Division 4 matches are played on Sunday Afternoon including U10. Some matches may require travel Sunday morning for early Sunday afternoon start times. Please be aware of this when making your decision to participate.
Division 4 travel team participation is by invitation. Invitations are given to players that express interest, have participated in a club tryout, and who have a coach assessment/recommendation for participation.
Any Player interested in Trying Out for a Division 4 Travel Team roster spot should show up at the try-out 15-20 minutes early.
