Volunteer Coaches

Volunteer Coaches are the lifeblood of our programs. We simply would not be able to operate our youth sport leagues such as this Youth Flag Football League without the hundreds of parents, family members, friends and community leaders who volunteer their time to promote youth sports in Arlington.

The only way to ensure your child’s team has a volunteer coach is to have someone volunteer specifically for your child’s team. Find a trusted adult (ex. Family member, pastor, community leader, teacher), or have a high school aged minor along with a trusted adult coach your team. Each team needs 2-4 volunteers. DPR will provide support and give resources to new coaches. Prospective volunteer coaches do not need to have any prior coaching experience. It is a time commitment of about 2-3 hours per week.
