NFL Youth Flag Football

Arlington NFL Youth Flag Football is part of the National Football League’s official flag football program that allows boys and girls to play non-contact flag football in a fast paced and exciting environment.  Arlington is home to one of the largest programs in the nation and is entering our 16th year with over 1,000 registrants for the 2020 season. This program is open to Arlington County residents only.

Practices and Games

Practices will be held twice a week on weeknights and begin the week of September 13th.

Games will be held on Saturdays and/or Sundays beginning Mid-October and concluding by November 14th. Games will be held on Columbus Day and Veterans Day Weekends.

Team practices and games will take place at Kenmore MSFt. BarnardQuincy ParkBarcroft ParkBluemont ParkWakefield H.S., and Washington-Liberty H.S.


Jerseys, flag belts and footballs are provided. NFL youth blue football (Wilson Pee Wee/K2) is used for grades 1-5. NFL youth brown football (Wilson Junior/TDY) is used for grades 5-12. Mouth guards are required. Cleats are optional (metal cleats are prohibited).


Register online below beginning July 5th at 12:00am. The registration fee is $90.00. Registration converts to a non-guaranteed waiting list at 12:00am EST on August 23rd. Payment can be made by credit/debit card online or by cash or check in person. You may also mail checks to:

All players must be Arlington County residents as of the date of their first game. 'Resident' is defined as:

  • A person or family living within the geographical boundaries of Arlington County, Virginia.
  • A person or family whose property is bisected by the county boundary and that of an adjacent jurisdiction, such that real estate taxes are paid to Arlington County.
  • A person or family owning property and paying real estate taxes in Arlington County even though that person or family resides outside the county boundary.
  • Current employees of the Arlington County Board or the Arlington County School Board, and their immediate family members.
  • Nonresident, full-time students who attend a public or private school in Arlington County.

Arlington County can provide upon request reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities. Two weeks advance notice is preferred.
