Team Parent

Hello to the interested Team Parent-

This section is dedicated to giving you information on what it means to volunteer as the Team Parent for your child's team. Thank you for taking the time to read this. The Team Parent can make all the difference on a team. They positively affect the soccer experience for the kids in ways that the coaches can not. There are only a few things that the team parents needs to do, but there are many more that you can do to help the team stay organized and to keep the coaches from getting overloaded.

The main role of the Team Parent is to help keep the team and their families in the loop for the season.

Things that are really helpful for the best soccer experience for the players:

  1. Organize Snacks (either brought by volunteers each week or collect donations and bring them yourself). Here is an example of a team snack form for you could use, if desired. PDF XLS
  2. Make sure communication flows from the coach to the rest of the parents (IE: game and practice schedules, picture day, missing kids, etc)
  3. Coordinate with parents for your teams end of season party, if desired.
  4. Coordinate with parents on end of the year player gifts (medals, ribbons, other memorabilia)
  5. Contact the Club administrators with any team issues or ensure anyone who has an issue knows how to contact them at [email protected].

Thanks again for your interest in volunteering! We couldn't do it without you!
