  • Save (.pdf) Certificate in order to upload to Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA) Affinity website 

  STEP 2:  SafeSport Certificate:

  • Add Membership
  • U.S. Soccer

  • Login to email & confirm email

  • SafeSport Trained -> Start

  • Save (.pdf) Certificate in order to upload to OYSA Affinity website (Step 3) 
  • Coaches that have previously completed this course (you must complete the refresher course: Preventing Misconduct))

  STEP 3:  TSC Registration

  • Login to your player's existing account or create new (top right corner)
  • Register Myself
  • Volunteer or Team Staff (all coaches, assistant coaches & team staff must be registered)
  • Chose grade level & gender (if player will be in 3rd grade this fall then select 3rd grade)
  • Do not upload certificates here (you will upload all certificates in STEP 4 through OYSA Affinity)

  STEP 4: OYSA Registration & Background Check (OYSA Affinity): DO NOT SKIP THIS- WE CANNOT GET YOU A TEAM UNTIL YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK IS APPROVED.

Highly recommended steps for all coaches:

• Hold a team meeting with parents the first week of practice. It cannot be stressed enough how important this step is. There you can introduce yourself, go over expectations and ground rules, discuss the Oregon concussion law so everyone understands. Perhaps most importantly - identify a team parent early (see Team Parent tab for duties).

• Prior to your first game, familiarize yourself with age specific rules and have lineup and substitution plan set (this will be covered at the coaches meeting)

• Have fun and thank you for volunteering to coach!

• If you are having difficulty registering with TSC or do not understand the concussion certification upload process please  email [email protected]. We cannot help you with using the external sites (OYSA / Affinity, SafeSport or specific concussion training sites).
