Before the start of every new soccer season, we hold elections for the HPFC Executive Board positions that have completed their two-year volunteer cycle. Current Board members may run for an additional term and new applications are warmly welcomed. An Election Committee will vet all candidates prior to hosting the general election. Junior Board is elected by the Executive board and the membership will elect the Executive board.

Being part of this parent volunteer board is an exciting and fulfilling experience. Our Board members work together with passion and dedication for the continued betterment of our player and family experience. Elected Executive Board members receive a $1,800.00 annual tuition discount and the Junior Board, $520.00. As a Board member, you will participate in a monthly in-person board meeting and a weekly conference call check-in. We seek individuals who work well in a team environment, can dedicate the appropriate time to their assigned projects, can advocate and connect with all player age groups, and share a passion for soccer and our community.  

For the 2023/24 season, we have 3 Executive Board positions, up for election: 

President – The President shall supervise all activities of the Club, be the general representative of the Club in all matters, including public relations, and shall chair all meetings of the Club. They shall be the principle operating and administrative officer and shall have the authority to sign all certificates, contracts or other instruments of the Club. They shall also appoint such committees as may be required from time to time and shall perform other duties as are incidental to the office or are properly required by the members or the Club.  The President shall not have a vote in any matters brought up for a vote except in the event of a tie, in which case the President shall cast the deciding vote.

Vice President of Competition – The Vice President of Competition shall provide oversight to the Director of Operations as needed to support administrative activities of each team formed under the authority of the Club, and such other duties as may be incidental to the office or are properly required by the members of the Board of Directors.

 Treasurer – The Treasurer, in conjunction with the Club Accountant, is responsible for managing the Club’s money and overseeing budgeting and maintaining records of account. The Treasurer is responsible for reporting and ensuring an appropriate record of all Club transactions, working with the Club Accountant to review, approve, and categorize transactions for the Club’s financial statements. The Treasurer approves disbursement of funds as authorized by the Board of Directors and performs other such duties as may be incidental to the role. The Treasurer and Club Accountant are also responsible for monitoring the tax-exempt status of the Club activities and the segregation and proper reporting of any taxable activities in which the Club should choose to participate.

Applications will be accepted through February 21, 2023. You will have the opportunity after that time to meet with our Elections Committee for a brief interview. Elections will be a 2-week voting window starting in mid-March leading up to the AGM (Annual General Meeting) in early April, with elected members joining us in June for the start of the new soccer year.
