We are reaching out today to make you aware of a fantastic way to earn some extra money while serving those in our community.  Since the start of COVID, our referee pool has shrunk significantly, and many games are going uncovered or having less than full crews. While we were able to add many fresh faces last year, we still need to continue to rebuild.

OUR referee pool comes from YOU - Coaches, Players, Parents, Brothers, Sisters.  We encourage everyone to please consider becoming a licensed referee to help our teams and support the beautiful game in our community.

The minimum age to take the licensing clinic is 13. There are two local referee clinics coming up:

• Saturday, October 1st from 9-1 at Duwamish Park (Tukwila Community College)
• Saturday, November 5th from 9-1pm at Duwamish Park (Tukwila Community Center)
• Saturday, December 3rd from 9-1pm at Duwamish Park (Tukwila Community Center)

Once you become a Certified US Soccer Referee and you can self-assign to games that work with your schedule. You can do multiple games a day and have the ability to pay off the clinic fee pretty quickly. Special Note: If you ref 10 games for the WSSC, you can get reimbursed for the clinic.

Referees earn make between $26 to $84 per game depending on the age and skill level.  

You can find clinics at the WA State Referee Clinics (WASRC) site, and choose the first option in the drop down (Entry). The closest clinics are down at the Tukwila Community Center from 9 am-1:00 pm on 10/1, 11/05 and 12/03.

The process to register for the clinics is to log onto the WASRC website above and click on 'How to Become a Referee' to the right and follow the instructions.

Once you register and pay, you must complete all 23 referee modules. Once you complete the modules, then you choose a clinic to attend. You cannot choose a clinic to attend until after you register and complete the modules.
