CDGBL (Travel) Basketball Information

The NCYGB Program offers travel team options to provide girls the opportunity to learn the game of basketball in a structured, age appropriate and competitive environment.

Format of Teams:
The NCYGB travel basketball teams compete in the Capital District Girls Basketball League (CDGBL). The NCYGB program forms five travel teams each program year.

The divisions are as follows:

4th Grade
Biddy B: 5th & 6th Grade
Biddy A: 5th & 6th Grade
Junior B: 7th & 8th Grade
Junior A: 7th & 8th Grade

Players selected for each team must meet the age and grade requirements that are established by the CDGBL.

Players may choose to tryout for the NCYGB Travel team, CYO team, or both; however, players who are selected for the Travel team will only be able to participate on both the Travel and CYO team if there is not enough player interest to form a CYO team at that level.

Tryouts for the Travel and CYO teams are generally held in September.
